Oh back to work again. Away from work since last week 7 mar 08. The initial plan is to go to Penang with my dear’s parents, however due to last minute changes, turn out to be only we 2 are going. Anyway the main purpose of going there is to stay away from stress and work.. Though Penang is not my desired place to go to, I am still willing to go there to explore. Because this is the first overseas trip together with my dear. When we reached there, Penang is not what I imagined. As I thought Penang is a small kampong village. Ha perhaps I am a country pumpkin. Actually Penang is improving tremendously and its progress can be compared with KL instead.. But still this place is still considered a relax pace for my dear and I to travel around.We stayed in his auntie’s house and borrowed a car from his uncle. With the car, it saved us a lot of trouble to take public transport. Headed to our first destination is Gerney Plaza which is one of the famous shopping centre in Penang. We had our hair cut there too. Later at nite, I get to know his cousin, Darren. He brought us around - largest Shopping Mall – Queensway and pubs. The pubs there are different from Singapore. Examples the crowds, liquor and songs. Anyway clubbing at there is cheap as there is no entry fee required. My dear and I had a nice chat with his cousin. We spend the whole night there till late 3am plus when the pub closed. Ha my first thrill is that I drove them home in Penang. Both guys were so worried when I was driving as I am not experience as them.. Sooo funny.. End up they were more alert than me.. =PThere are many temples in Penang too. We went to quite a number of temples and one of them is up to the hill. Other than that, my dear brought me to try the local delicacy and my favourite is炒馃条. The taste is totally different from Singapore.Though I still have a lot of place never been to in Penang, it is still considered a nice enjoyable trip. =)

In Penang during Mid Mar 08
